The Network Architect will be instrumental in designing, implementing and maintaining Smiths IT Network and is responsible for ensuring we keep up with the latest best practices. Exceptional analytical skills are required to troubleshoot issues and deliver secure and stable network to support the global business operation. This entails conducting network planning and analysis to identify the most appropriate technology aligned with business objectives. The Network Architect ensures the seamless integration of technology to support organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for complete network design, systems analysis, security of on-prem data center and Cloud network
• Evaluate current systems, review new systems, and provide alternate solutions and improvements
• Manage and maintain network environment, throughout for the global IT system.
• Manage and maintain company's global network architectural design and work with team leads for the implementation.
• Continuous improvement of network system by monitoring and evaluating the system technology and approach.
• Works with server and application team to maintain and collaborate future planning and evaluate the change plan for short and long term.
• Participates in the change control, production acceptance and event management processes
• Manage global network capacity and provide network utilization statistics for capacity planning
• Communicates, validates, and drives short & long-term network architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio across IT Teams and conducts end-to-end technical plan design.
• Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.
• Develops network enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms
• Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing network to support new solutions
• Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan; serve as a lead to implement the installation, customization, deployment and integration efforts.
• Performs related duties as required.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• Cloud Platform network experience on AWS, AZURE
• Cisco active CCIE Certification
• Skilled in the development and presentation of overall network architecture solutions
• Proficient in analytical planning and organization/time management skills
• Ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing in clear concise language that is appropriate technical and management group
• Ability to work with people from all departments in the company with varying degrees of computer/technology knowledge
• Minimum 5 years' experience working as network manager to manage hybrid environment, running on Cisco and Palo Alto network environment.
• Minimum 5 years global network Design and Implementation experience.
• Exceptional Analytical Skills; 10 years of combined relevant experience and education as Network manager or technical architect in Network or Infrastructure team with global infrastructure setup.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or MIS.
Experience:
Minimum of eight years of experience as Global Network Architect or relevant role, including managing resources and projects Other: May require working nights and weekends. Work
