Job DescriptionOnsite for first 3 months of training, will switch to hybrid work model, 2 days working from home.

Overview (Accountant)This role supports credit union accounting with 3-5 years of finance experience and strong Excel skills.Key duties include transaction processing, reconciliations, deposit management, and audit support under GAAP.

Minimum Educational Qualifications• BS Degree in Business or Accounting.

Minimum Experience:• 3 to 5 years working in the financial or credit union industry.• Technical and analytical skills appropriate for operating under.• Generally accepted accounting principles.

Top 3 Required Skills:• Degree - BA w/3-5 years' experience in Financial Services or related Industry.• Technical and analytical skills appropriate for operating under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.• Strong Excel skills - V-Lookup and Pivot tables.

Desired Skills:• Strong financial Acumen.• Developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Other Job-Specific skills:• Self-starter able to work autonomously.• Skilled in verbal and written communication.• MS (word/excel).

Main Duties:• Position supports the ongoing Accounting Operations of the Credit Union.• Responsible for processing and documenting daily member transaction for a variety of interfaces, reconciling activity and identifying the source of any variances.• Supports, Accounting team and activity with the Federal Reserve Bank and other Financial Institutions.• Works closely with the Analyst.• Team and Senior Accountants to support, provide back-up and cross-train on critical responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:• Manage share draft/check clearing.• Support Lockbox transaction processing.• Monitor and process Corp Credit Union deposits.• Execute Corp Credit Union research and related adjustments.• Support both Domestic and International wire transaction.• Support shared branching reconciliations.

Daily Tasks:• Execute transactional processing as required.• Conduct routine reconciliations to support NCUA and Opinion Audits.• Identify variances, research causes and adjust entries as needed.• Provide assistance to accounting team on various projects and reconcilements.
