GENERAL SUMMARY
:
This Clinic Secretary Assistant role primarily supports the Craig Yabuki Mental Health Walk In Clinic and also assists with patient care in the Connections Clinic. Both clinics offer outpatient mental health care to kids who are in need of mental health support. The CSA is responsible for checking in patients, creating charts in Epic, entering insurance, managing the lobby, scheduling follow up appointments, answering phone calls, clerical work, onboarding new employees, and collaborating with the clinical team.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
:
High School education or equivalent.Currently registered with the State of Wisconsin Registry for Nursing Assistants (CNA) to be eligible for employment in the basic provider settings, or certified as one of the following: Clinical Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant. Certified Nursing Assistant certifications are not required to be renewed after hire.Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred.Interpersonal skills necessary to gather and share information with physicians, patients, visitors, families, and team members in a courteous and confidential manner.Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks done simultaneously.Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient care needs.Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.Physical ability to lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as push and pull when performing cleaning functions.Frequently bends, lifts, twists, reaches, and squats.Occasionally push/pulls and does overhead work.
Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 12:30pm to 9pm and Saturday and Sundays 1130pm to 8pm
Shifts Scheduled: 5 shifts every 2 weeks for a total of 40 hours per pay period
This position requires that you work a rotating weekend schedule (every third weekend).
