Job Position Description:
Supervisor responsibilities include working with the cleaners, organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all staff stays on task and complete all assignments to ServiceMaster standards. This is an unique assignment which will begin as a Floating Supervisor that will be assigned to different areas within the company's portfolio which may include different areas throughout Texas, and Arkansasuntil the West Texas area has grown to a volume which required an Area Supervisor in the permentantly. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of cleaning principles and team management abilities.
Responsibilities
Hands-On Working Manager Position
Training cleaners on ServiceMaster's standards, products, processes and proceduresTravel to different areas in Texas and Arkansas to conduct on Facility Inspections, assigned to accounts a few days a week to clean, and fill in during call-offs.Clean assigned buildings by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furnitureOversees staff performance and ensures all assignments are completed in accordance to set task scheduleAssist in hiring and staffing assigned AreaTrain cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accountsPerform inspections and give constructive performance feedback to staff membersAssign shifts and make necessary adjustment in case of call off or no showsRespond to customer complaints and request in a timely and caring mannerEnsure compliance with safety and OSHA regulationsUse proper PPE where requiredOpens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required.7 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper5 years' supervisor experienceWill provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on timeHas respect and understanding for co-workers and customersMust be able to communicate in English. Bilingual is a plusMileage ReimbursementTravel costs are coveredPer diem when out of West Texas AreaPhysical Demands and Qualifications:
Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 25lbs.Ability to read cleaning instructionsAbility to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $15.00 - $16.75 per hour
