Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data ingestion and transformation within multi-cloud environments, integrating APIs, and building dataflows to support analytics and machine learning models. The role requires hands-on experience with big data technologies, programming skills in Python or Scala, and the ability to mentor cross-functional teams. This position focuses on developing high-performance predictive models and optimizing data processes to achieve operational efficiency and valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage data ingestion and transformation processes across multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
• Integrate APIs and build dataflows to support analytics and machine learning models.
• Re-engineer orisk data models, migrating from SAS to GCP BigQuery and Python, leveraging BigQuery's parallel processing for improved efficiency.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, providing guidance on Python, BigQuery, and GCP buckets while fostering a collaborative development environment.
• Establish coding standards aligned with benchmarks to enhance code quality and consistency.
• Translate complex SAS logic into GCP BigQuery workflows using JavaScript UDFs to streamline calculations and improve operational efficiency.
• Design and optimize high-performance models, such as a loan default prediction model, achieving a 97% AUC score on a 240M-record dataset.
• Revamp income prediction models to forecast future earnings with improved accuracy and performance.
Required Qualifications
• Strong experience with Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Expertise in graph algorithms and working with embedded spaces.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Proficiency in data manipulation, modeling, and analytics.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or similar languages.
• Expertise in cloud technologies such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working with multi-cloud data environments.
• Strong ability to collaborate and mentor in cross-functional team settings.
