Best in breed type manufacturing company seeks a Plant Environmental Manager for their WV/OH border manufacturing plant. In this role you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring company environmental programs and policiesfor the site. Ensures compliance with government and environmental regulations (EPA). Conducts employeetraining. Responds to emergencies, investigates incidents, and recommends corrective actions. Provides technicalguidance on environmental issues for operations and equipment. Completes required federal, state, and localgovernment reports.
Functions as a subject matter expert (SME) to plant team members on environmental and regulatory issuesand participates in incident investigations and root cause failure analysis.
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES:BS degree in Engineering, Science or related field of studyMinimum of 4 years work experience in analysis of environmental regulations as applied to the mining,construction, manufacturing, or related fields.Experience with Title V air permitting requiredExperience with consent decrees highly preferredMust have strong leadership skills and proven effectiveness in leading a strong safety culture andenvironmental compliance. Demonstrated ability to act as a support partner to operations and maintenance.Ability to work collaboratively to find solutions to problems.Detailed knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations and permits including, but not limited to,CAA, CWA, RCRA, DOT, EPCRA, and TRI.EPA Opacity Reading certification, DOT Certification, HAZWOPER certification and ISO 14001 a plus
