Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) designs, develops, and manufactures advanced composite components in order to help our customers push the frontiers of innovation. In this role, you will oversee the successful execution of our aerospace programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations. You will lead a team of program managers, coordinate with cross-functional departments, and act as a key liaison between our commercial and government clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership and Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple aerospace programs, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements. Lead a team of program managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement program management methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial and government clients, ensuring clear and effective communication. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns, managing expectations, and delivering on commitments.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure program success. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align program activities with organizational goals. Monitor program progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Risk Management and Problem Solving:
Identify potential program risks and develop mitigation strategies. Resolve program issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner. Conduct regular program reviews and status updates for senior management.
Financial Oversight:
Manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and cost control. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for program expenditures. Ensure programs are executed within the approved budget and schedule constraints.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, engineering, or related field in the aerospace industry. Proven track record of managing complex aerospace programs, including experience with both commercial and government projects. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in program management software and tools. PMP certification preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance, if required.
