Job Summary:The Staff Accountant will focus on account reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, and ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the finance team to maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP and assist with special projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:Account Reconciliations : Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.Journal Entries : Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.SOX 404 Compliance : Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 internal controls by documenting and maintaining control processes and performing controls as required.GAAP Compliance : Ensure all financial records are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Special Projects : Collaborate with management on ad hoc projects, such as financial analysis, audits, or process improvements.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a publicly traded or manufacturing environment.Basic understanding of GAAP and SOX 404 compliance.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Focus on meeting deadlinesReliableAbility to work both independently and in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or working toward certification is preferred.Experience with Infor ERP systems.
