Property Accountant

LHH Professional Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Property Management Accountant for our central Houston area real estate client. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in accounting for multi-family properties. If you are seeking an opportunity to work for a people first organization, this is the role for you!

Primary responsibilities of the Property Management Accountant role include:Prepare journal entries to general ledger accountants

Complete corresponding account reconciliations

Ensuring accounting books for properties are accurate

Enter reclasses and accruals

Request disbursements and assign account numbers

Provide preliminary reports for review to properties

Coordinate closely with accounts payable team

Manage close calendar for assigned properties

Primary qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

3+ years of related experience in general or property management accounting

Sound understanding of GAAP and use of MS Excel

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay Details:
