Reading Metro Transportation is looking to hire dispatchers for all shifts to manage all the growth!
We are looking for dispatchers to work all hours of the day and all days of the week (24/7). We can accommodate everyone's work schedule.
We are looking for a reliable Dispatcher. You will receive requests, transmit messages and track vehicles. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
Responsibilities
Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant informationAddress problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutionsReceive and dispatch orders for products or deliveriesPrioritize calls according to urgency and importanceUse radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locationsMonitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their scheduleProvide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirementsEnter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other informationSkills
Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant positionFast typing with experience in data entryKnowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situationsProficient in English and Spanish (oral and written)Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilitiesActive listener with excellent communication skillsSound judgement and critical thinkingHigh school diploma
Pay Range:
$15 - $25 per hour
