Position: FL-DEM-FEMA Event Closeout Team-Financial Specialist
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite Role)
Contract
Pay Rate: $19/hr on W2

FL-DEM-FEMA Event Closeout Team-Financial Specialist
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Cubicles, not public facing
DRESS CODE: Business Casual
The position will consist of the following duties:• Assist Bureau grant managers and Admin and Management Costs Managers with grant closeout activities as directed• Reconcile expenditures, quarterly reports, and insurance reviews• Analyze and compare data for accuracy and completeness• Creating form letters and other correspondence related to disaster closeouts• Scanning and uploading documents into appropriate systems as directed, ensuring all records are maintained and relevant correspondence are recorded in the State's grant management system• Archive files according to established procedures and timelines• Perform final inspections and validation for project closeout• Assemble grant closeout packets for submission to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)• Copying, scanning, and filing as needed• Serve as the liaison between the Subrecipient and the Division, providing technical, fiscal, and grant management assistance to Subrecipients related to the receipt and use of federal and state emergency management funding awarded by the Division.• Perform other duties as assigned
COMPUTER/OFFICE EQUIPMENT: • Demonstrated computer software skills, including Word, Excel, and other database/spreadsheet software, including but not limited to PowerPoint.
