Computer Services Specialist - Central Office

Questar III BOCES announces a full-time vacancy for a Computer Services Specialist to support Questar III and component school districts. This position will be based in Castleton, NY. This position provides technical support in coordinating the purchase, installation, configuration and maintenance of computer related hardware, software, and associated peripherals (e.g., printers, copiers, scanners, etc.). This position also provides end user training to employees on workstation related applications (e.g., MS Office), employer provided technologies (e.g., email, calendaring & scheduling, VPN Remote access, wireless, etc.) and related employer usage guidelines, policies & or procedures. Preferred applicants will have experience providing large scale deployments of new software/hardware, and experience with both Microsoft and Apple platforms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Either

(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or a related field;

OR

(B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and 4 years of experience in computer operations and related peripherals;

OR

(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

Estimated pay range: $40,000 - $50,000 (commensurate with experience)
