Position Overview

At Fanatics Collectibles, we are seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and management of our data products. This role will be crucial in leveraging our vast database of global sports fans to create data-driven solutions across our digital sports platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data product management, with expertise in building scalable data solutions that drive business value and enhance decision-making capabilities.

ResponsibilitiesLead the conceptualization, development, and ongoing enhancement of data products, including the Customer Data Platform (CDP), APIs, analytics tools, and dashboards with a focus on creating a unified view of customers across the Topps, Live, & Collect (TLC) businesses.Develop and execute comprehensive product roadmaps for data initiatives, aligning with overall business objectives and leveraging cutting-edge data technologies, including AI and ML capabilities.Own the governance and accuracy of customer data, deriving features and fields to create a 360-degree view of customers, including their preferences and behaviors.Translate complex business requirements and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable product specifications and technical tasks for data science and engineering teams.Design and implement data models and self-service tools that enable internal teams to effectively leverage the CDP data for insights, personalization, and decision-making.Establish and maintain robust data governance practices, ensuring data quality, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including TLC business units, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Analytics to identify opportunities for datadriven improvements in business operations.Drive the adoption of the CDP across the organization, creating documentation, training materials, and best practices for leveraging data effectively.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data products, continuously iterating and improving based on user feedback and data insights.Manage and prioritize a backlog of data-related features and improvements, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.Oversee the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into the CDP for enhanced personalization, forecasting, and to enable ML models across various business functions.Qualifications

5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years focused on data products or platformsStrong technical background with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, and cloudbased data technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Extensive experience using self-service analytics and BI dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)Demonstrated success in building and scaling data products that drive business valueDeep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniquesExperience with various types of data products, such as analytics platforms, data warehouses, machine learning models, and business intelligence toolsFamiliarity with AI and machine learning applications in data productsStrong knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices in data governanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business valueExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, adept at collaborating with both technical and non-technical teamsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related fieldAgile/Scrum project management experiencePassion for sports, collectibles, or gaming industries is a plus

The salary range for this position is $144,000-$180,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

About the Team

Fanatics Collectibles is a leading licensor, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally, as well as a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards. It has secured exclusive licensing arrangements with major national professional sports leagues, including the MLB, NFL and the NBA, and related players associations, to produce physical and digital trading cards and other collectibles.

Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with a number of individual international sports teams and leagues, as well as owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights. Fanatics Collectibles recently announced Fanatics Live, expected to launch later in 2023, which will focus on transforming the digital shopping experience through personality-driven content and entertainment.
