Job Description
ASRC Federal Gulf States Constructors is seeking a Base Energy Manager to support activities under the Sheppard Air Force Base contract in Wichita Falls, Texas
Responsible for overseeing energy-related initiatives, conservation efforts, and sustainability programs within military installations or similar large facilities. Their role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize energy efficiency, reduce consumption, and promote renewable energy sources. Base Energy Managers collaborate with various departments, engineers, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost savings. They conduct energy audits, analyze consumption patterns, and recommend improvements to systems and equipment. Base Energy Managers also coordinate with utility providers, government agencies, and contractors to implement energy-efficient technologies and ensure compliance with regulations. Effective communication skills are crucial as they educate personnel about energy-saving practices and present findings to higher-level management. With a deep understanding of energy systems, conservation methods, and sustainability practices, Base Energy Managers contribute to reducing the environmental impact of facilities while enhancing operational efficiency and supporting national energy goals.
Requirements
Requirements:
Certified by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
HS diploma; Associates degree or higher preferred
Four (4) yrs. minimum experience in Energy Management
Must possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
· Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.
· Must be capable of working with customers and employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
· Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment
