Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner
to join our
Kawneer Building and Contruction
team in
Cranberry Township, PA.

This position is the first level of authority for all duties related to our onsite nurse scope of work for our manufacturing faciality of about 500 employees. This position is primarily a daylight position under the direction of the EHS Manager.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm EST
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Provision of direct clinical care and referral to external health care providers and specialists as needed; Implementation of Arconic's Health Standards and Protocols.Responsibility for the coordination of the medical portion of Pre-Employment, Return to Work, Disability Management and FMLA compliance.Conducting health assessments, screenings, monitoring, and counseling within the scope of nursing knowledge and practiceMaintenance of health information to safeguard confidentialityConducting workplace walkthroughs and exposure follow-upsOverseeing location Emergency Medical Response Personnel; ensuring compliance with OSHA and other state and federal health regulations.Administer location medical surveillance programsLead creative departmental improvementsParticipate as a resource for the location Ergonomic TeamAid in the maintenance of the facility incident tracking databaseLeader for the Plant Wellness Initiatives; promote health and wellnessCollaborating with plant EHS staff to ensure a safe and healthy workplaceFacilitate EHS trainings in conjunction with EHS team and training coordinatorCollaborate with HR department to support the businesses' hiring needs by tracking, scheduling, and coordinating pre-employment physicals for the Cranberry location, per the Arconic standard.Employee support for the Short Term Disability process along with reviewing return to work readiness and communication.Track, schedule and coordinate fitness for duty physicals, audiometrics evaluations, and heat stress surveys for the Cranberry location and other North American BCS locations as needed.Liaise with third party medical service providers to achieve optimal outcomes for injury management, OSHA record keeping, workers compensation, and fitness for duty issues for the Cranberry location and other North American BCS locations as needed.Monitor changes in legal requirements and standard industry practices for occupational medicine, and advise BCS leaders on policy decisions as needed.Provide any applicable training to the team on related job duties content.Other duties as requiredEssential Knowledge & Skills
Strong communication, analytical and human relations skills;Skilled in use of personal computers with emphasis on analytical software;Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, training/leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills;Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment essential.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Graduation from an from an accredited institution of nursingLicensure to practice as a registered nurse practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania. License to practice as a registered nurse practitioner has never been revoked.Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in critical care or emergency room nursing or equivalentEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Preferred Qualifications
Current basic life support certification or training equivalent required- can be obtained within 6 months of employmentBachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institutionComputer skillsActive affiliation with AAOHNSpecial training and experience in occupational health. Knowledge of workers' compensation, case management, government regulationsCertification in occupational health.

Our Kawneer plant is located in Cranberry Township, PA which is about 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, PA. This location has continuously built our products here since the early 1970s and we have a long legacy of products we've manufactured including the windows for the crown of the Statue of Liberty. Currently we supply commercial windows and aluminum sticks to companies nationwide. We are easily accessible being surrounding by many major highways as well as have many popular shopping, recreation, and dining options.
