Class Description

The Campus Director provides leadership, direction, supervision and accountability for the assigned campus and ensures its effective and efficient operation. The Campus Director also implements the strategic direction of the campus, consistent with the College's strategic plan and in collaboration with senior staff and the Administrative Services Leadership Team.

The Campus Director enhances the functioning of the campus by working with individuals, groups, offices, and the campus as a whole. Key roles for the Campus Director include coordination, facilitation, and/or leadership of efforts involving building and maintaining relationships with the external community and building and maintaining the engagement of the internal campus and college community.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scaleMinimum Requirements

Master's degree in Education Administration, Business or a related field and seven (7) years of professional management/leadership experience in a community college or academic environment.Class Specific Essential Duties

Class Essential Duties:

Provide campus leadership for internal community engagement and building morale.Build effective relationships and partnerships within the community. Assist and support the College President with external community relations.Assist with the facilitation of effective daily operations on the campus including coordination with Public Safety, Facilities Management, and Information Technology. Assist with the facilitation of effective evening and weekend operations through supervision of the Evening and Weekend Coordinator.Ensure the efficient use of CCBC facilities. Address issues related to facilities planning and management:

Oversee non-academic requests for facilities including special events, assuring the efficient use and allocation of classrooms and other facilities for both internal and external constituencies.Provide guidance and support for campus eventsDevelop, plan, recommend, and implement goals and objectives to maximize space utilization, increase campus efficiency, and improve customer service with the approval of the Vice President.

Provide leadership for college-wide committees as assigned.Serve as advisor to the Provost, Vice Presidents and President in formulating campus and college-wide policies and procedures.Develop policies and procedures, as required.Prepare and analyze reports, as requested.Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. Foster internal community building efforts through the campus committees. Propose and implement other community building initiatives.Actively participate in local community organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, as a representative of CCBC.Host events for outside organizations by planning schedules, welcoming visitors and overseeing support for all aspects of the events.Coordinate special campus events and conferences at the discretion of the Vice President.Identify, report, and monitor correction of defects in the campus appearance and environment.Monitor emergencies, construction projects ,

and other unusual events for their impact on college operations. Ameliorate disruptions and facilitate a coordinated response.Chair the campus Events Committee.Determine the events and initiatives that should be highlighted on interior and exterior electronic signage. Manage the posting process.Coordinate and actively participate in the Facilities Committee in developing, implementing ,

and revising college-wide Facilities Usage Guidelines.Recommend the allocation of classroom and office upgrade furniture budget. Coordinate annual renewal projects.Lead the sustainability initiative on each campus. Participate in the college-wide Sustainability Committee.Monitor operations. Serve as the Vice President's "eyes on site". Communicate perceptions to the Vice President.Ensure that an academic perspective is included in Administrative Services decisions.Take a prominent leadership position on the Campus.Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
