The Product Marketing team at Zayo is seeking a
Vertical Marketing Strategist
to be the voice of and the voice-to four (4) industries . This strategic role entails working closely with the Sales, Marketing, Product and Enablement teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies and empower sales teams to excel in these industries. The
Vertical Marketing Strategist
will be accountable for achieving revenue and churn targets and driving pipeline and consideration within the defined verticals.
*This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the US
Responsibilities:Develop deep expertise in assigned industries.Conduct and collect industry and competitor research.Develop industry narrative, positioning, buyer personas, value propositions, and messaging that differentiate Zayo in the marketplace and resonate with target audiences. For instance, you might create a buyer persona for a typical customer in the [industry 1] sector or develop a value proposition highlighting Zayo's unique offerings for [industry 2].Collaborate with other marketing functions to ensure Zayo's products, solutions, and services are accurately reflected in programs, campaigns, digital marketing, events, etc. to target industries.Partner with sales enablement to support educating the sales about the value of Zayo's products, solutions, and services to target industriesWrite industry-related content, including (but not limited to) white papers, presentations, blogs, case studies, reference architecture, web content, battle cards, and sales playbooks.Build and execute marketing strategies, in partnership with cross-functional teams, to build pipelines, improve win rate, and drive revenue within industries.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience in a related field.Minimum of three (3) years experience in marketing for a B2B company within vertical marketing, campaign planning, go-to-market strategy, content marketing, or product marketing. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development, allowing you further to hone your skills and expertise in these areas.Telecommunications industry experience preferred.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Familiarity with agile methodologies and frameworks is a plus.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and bring innovative ideas to the table.Flexibility to travel and work on weekends or evenings, as required.Base Salary Range:
$66,500 -$100,000 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
