Expeditor (Intermediate) IntroThe Capital Project Expeditor plays a crucial role in supporting the Supply Chain Capital Project Buyers and Project Managers within the US Project Management and Pipe Integrity teams. This position focuses on the acquisition and timely delivery of materials and engineered equipment for pipelines and associated facilities. The Expeditor ensures compliance with Purchase Order requirements and proactively addresses any deviations. This role demands strong knowledge of Capital/Project Expediting, Supply Chain functions, and proficiency in MS Office Applications and SAP.

Job Details- Assure supplier compliance with Purchase Order terms and conditions, addressing deviations promptly.- Expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of components and materials in line with project schedules.- Regularly review Purchase Order files, especially for critical equipment or materials.- Obtain weekly updates from vendors on critical item statuses.- Document vendor communications and meeting minutes.- Collaborate with the Material Coordinator to monitor material receipts and document processes.- Communicate critical information and status changes between suppliers, Capital Buyers, and Material Coordinators.- Maintain strong communication and relationships with Supply Chain, client teams, Supplier Management, and Accounting.- Participate in planning meetings with suppliers for critical equipment.- Anticipate supplier and project needs proactively.- Involve Capital Buyers, Project Managers, and Management for supplier issue resolution.- Conduct site visits to manufacturer/supplier locations as needed.- Plan proactively and communicate deviations from project schedules.- Detect and communicate potential quality or delivery problems early.- Maintain accurate and current data in electronic tools for the Project Team.- Timely process and report information, including delivery and price changes.- Maintain the Material Status Report actively.- Coordinate third-party inspections and route reports to the Material Coordinator.- Coordinate shipping and logistics.

Mandatory Skills- Ability to work with minimal supervision.- Willingness to learn and understand commercial and technical project aspects.- Strong problem-solving capabilities.- Ability to work with diverse professional backgrounds.- Trigger and facilitate problem resolution processes.- Understanding of material/equipment, manufacturing processes, and market situations.- Persistence in dealings with suppliers.- Maintain up-to-date Material Status Reports and systems.

Desired Skills- College associate degree, technical training/certifications, or equivalent combination.- Five years of experience as a Capital/Project Expeditor in the oil and gas industry.- Equivalent combination of experience and education considered.
