What We're Looking For
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in capital markets and investment banking to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of working with large datasets and analytical tools. This role will focus on building and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and supporting data analysis initiatives to drive decision-making in our capital markets/investment banking operation.
Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support capital markets operations and analytics.Create and optimize SQL Statements, Procedures and Functions.Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Implement data integration processes to streamline data flow from various sources into data warehouses.Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous testing and validation processes.Utilize Tableau to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide business insights to stakeholders.Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and capital markets.A successful candidate will have hands-on experience in a multitude of domains; including, but not limited to database design, data warehousing, business intelligence, big data, database tuning, application optimization, security, virtual computing and storage, incident trackingDocumenting procedures for all tools/processes you create.Qualifications:
Knowledge of financial instruments and investment banking processesAt least 5 years of experience in data engineering, within capital markets, Marketplace lending or investment banking.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL processes.Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with tools such as AWS and Azure.Hands-on experience with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.Familiarity with programming languages such as Python.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Knowledge of software development best practicesBSc degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or relevant fieldRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Tableau Certification)

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00
