KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Catering Sales: Develop and execute strategies to increase catering sales, including identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction within assigned territory.Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to promote Jim 'N Nick’s catering services within assigned territory.Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and professionally.Event Coordination: Work closely with the Catering Ops Managers to plan and coordinate catering events, ensuring all details provided by the client are managed to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience.Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team on local and company-wide campaigns that highlight catering services and community involvement.Planning and Tracking: develop plan for assigned territory and track daily outreach, networking activities, and community involvement through CRM software.QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Education / Training / Work Experience
Restaurant and hospitality experience preferred (1 – 2 years)Sales experience preferred (1 – 2 years)College degree preferred in hospitality, communication, business or marketingExperience in account management (1-2 years preferable)Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to generate leads that result in profitable catering salesStrong understanding of community engagement and relationship-buildingSkilled in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlinesSuperior organizational skills and attention to detailProficient in problem-solving, and prioritizing tasks with limited supervisionEffective active listening and curiosityAbility to maintain high confidentialityDependable, flexible, and professional demeanorCoachable and trainableHigh standards of personal ethics and professionalismStrong written, verbal, and presentation skillsSolid business acumen in sales, finance, and administrationAvailability for varied hours based on business needsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM softwarePassion for barbecue and commitment to high-quality servicePhysical Requirements
Travel up to 30% of the time and the ability to work weekends and evenings as neededSome lifting and the movement of moderate loads require a 30-pound lifting requirementResponsible for utilizing office equipment. The effective operation of equipment requires the use of all limbs, fingers and the ability to seeSpend approximately 20% of his/her time standing and walking swiftly, therefore, he/she must have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and move freely using all limbs and seeing at close/long distancesAttend meetings, conferences, workshops, etc. as well as visit Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q locations, vendors, etc.; therefore, he/she must be able to travel autonomously, possibly to other geographical locations, in inclement weather, with little to no prior notification givenMust be able work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental and emotional level; this includes performing work in a fast-paced manner and making timely decisions
