Summary:Job Description SummarySchedule: This position is on an as-needed basis but the shifts would be:- Monday through Friday 8am-4pm- Plus On-call shifts: Weekday 4-7pm, Weekend shifts (Sat and Sun) will vary between 7:30am-7pm.
The Registration Eligible Dietitian actively supports multiple specialty units, engages in performance improvement projects, and assists in the delivery of comprehensive training and nutrition education. The Registration Eligible Dietitian interacts with a wide spectrum of individuals and groups, fostering collaboration within the multidisciplinary team. Partners on research initiatives and strives to enhance nutrition approaches. The Registration Eligible Dietitian engages with patients seeking effective management strategies for chronic conditions, as needed.
Essential Job Functions:Works closely with the Registered Dietitian to ensure seamless coordination and effective nutrition support.Collaborates with the Registered Dietitian for necessary approvals and sign-offs.Actively participates in performance improvement projects related to nutrition and patient care.Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, administrators, and support staff.Educates patients and their family members as needed to enhance their understanding of nutrition and health.Partners on research initiatives related to nutrition and outcomes.Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.Certifications
