Contract Graphic Designer - In-Store Displays

As the Contract Graphic Designer you will be responsible for producing eye-catching dynamic designs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop graphics to create appealing and informational graphics for assigned brand projects. This role assists with the production of consumer-facing design initiatives (this may include packaging, advertising, marketing, or in-store displays). You will also assist the graphic design team in executing responsibilities including creating drafts, rendering finished products, and reviewing orders.
What you will do:
Create cutting-edge design executions while adhering to Brand objectives and guidelines.Collaborate closely with Designers and the Sales team to develop and create in-store displays.Communicate project concepts and status updates to internal and external teammates and vendors.Prepare press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing and be able to resolve any artwork issues during production.Review and proof graphic materials before the product is marked as complete.Follow a project workflow and timeline to ensure projects progress in a timely manner.Manage external vendor resources and relationships by negotiating and seeing projects through to completion.Manages People: No
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or related field preferred.5+ experience working in graphic design printing for retailer in-store displays.Strong portfolio with related work samples in graphic design, typography, and layouts.Ability to consistently approach designs with creativity and innovation in mind.Be flexible to support the Graphics team with non-event or merchandiser projects as needed.Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.Ability to be meticulous about clean production with proper resolutions, color and size accuracies, clean file setups, etc.Must be comfortable following style guides for licensed brands but also have the creativity and freedom to explore unique designs and activations for our own brandsKnowledge of layouts and graphic fundamentals.Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator).Working knowledge of printing processes (4 colors, spot colors, mechanical preparation, paper stock, and file formats).Exhibit interest and proactively gain knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding of the competitive marketplace.Knowledge of working with licensed brands.Ability to identify trends and translate them into concepts.
