Job Role Summary
The Clinical Supervisor develops and oversees processes to assure that treatment plans are reviewed and updated at intervals indicated by guidelines and that documentation standards are met.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County. Models Eskenazi Health values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development, and ExcellenceProvides clinical supervision to clinicians, case managers or other related positionsMaintains expertise in specific research-based clinical practices and protocolsTeaches research-based clinical practices and protocols to other staff, and monitors staff adherence and fidelity to those practices and protocolsProvides orientation and on-the-job training to assure staff are well prepared for their rolesCollaborates/consults with psychiatrist, Manager and other personnel for the integration and development of necessary treatment servicesParticipates in the development of in-service training opportunities to assure staff remain current in their practiceWorks collaboratively with other organizations to assure continuity of services for our clients, developing systems for referralMonitors clinical work performance, assists in preparing personnel data and performance evaluations as assignedAssists staff in preparing documentation; including letters to court, evaluations and professional correspondenceAssists Manager in managing contracts, grants and other service agreementsProvides a comprehensive range of strengths and community based interventions for clientsDevelops and oversees processes to assure that treatment plans are reviewed and updated at intervals indicated by guidelines and that documentation standards are metDemonstrates familiarity with best practices for a variety of client populationsProvides indirect services to external agencies and the community through consultation and educationServes as a role model and clinical resource for other cliniciansAssists clinicians in determining appropriate interventions to aid clients in reaching their treatment goalsAssists other team members in covering client needsOffers input for staff performance appraisalsJob Requirements
Master's degree in human services plus five years' experienceIf your degree is a Master's of Social Work you must have an Licensed Social Work (LSW) and be working towards Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW)State licensure for independent practiceKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
Thorough understanding of strength and community based treatment modelsStrong interpersonal skills with ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communicationAdvanced knowledge of:psychiatric/addiction diagnoses and understanding of their impact on behaviorpsychotropic medication; their uses and side effectsresearch based clinical practices and protocolsUse of discretion and independent decision-making regarding staff, clients and program mattersAbility to:teach, support and mentor othersuse communication appropriate to the age of the audienceteach evidenced based clinical practices and protocols to other staffmonitor adherence to clinical practices intervention according to fidelity of clinical modelsCrisis intervention skillsLeadership and team building abilityAll individuals working for the Opioid Treatment Program must have experience and training to safely manage therapeutic services to patients and to provide therapeutic services to patients receiving Opioid treatment medication.MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING BASIC COMPETENCIES IF APPLICABLE:
