We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our client and monitor all Human Resources functions. HR Specialist responsibilities include preparing compensation and benefits packages, setting up company policies and maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of labor legislation. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring HR procedures run smoothly at all times. Our client is a locally owned nursing home located in New Orleans.
This is an ideal position for a recent New Grad with a degree in HR or for someone just starting the HR career.

Prepare and review compensation and benefits packagesAdminister health and life insurance programsImplement training and development plansPlan quarterly and annual performance review sessionsInform employees about additional benefits they're eligible for (e.g extra vacation days)Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment statusMaintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary recordsForecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothlyDevelop and implement HR policies throughout the organizationMonitor budgets by departmentProcess employees' queries and respond in a timely mannerStay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislationRequirements:
Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Human ResourcesProven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR GeneralistHands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)Knowledge of Applicant Tracking SystemsSolid understanding of labor legislation and payroll processFamiliarity with full cycle recruitingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood problem-solving abilitiesTeam management skills
