Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overseeing a variety of construction projects, including design-build and bid-build projects typically ranging from $2M to $30M, with the potential to manage up to $40M of projects simultaneously
• Works in partnership with the assigned project to ensure timely service delivery, account profitability, and asset management.
• Provides overall account management, coordinating with installers, customer representatives, and Pattison Sales, Engineering, Art, Accounting, Technical Services, Production and Purchasing to ensure customer needs are met.
• Maintains and updates web-based information system with detail status of projects assigned.
• Manages surveys that may require the employee to interface with the customer to change or modify the design of the fascia project
• Employee may need to travel with sales personnel or alone and at as a technical advisor in conjunction with or selling efforts to market our ACM system.
• Works in partnership with customer, architect, and general contractor, outside vendors, plant personnel and installers to coordinate the final design, layout, installation and billing of ACM packages.
• Selects installers; establishes expectations; and monitors and ensures/evaluates installer performance.
• Coordinates and ensures necessary surveys and permits are secured on a timely basis.
• Resolves problems and disputes in the field, including quality, schedule, and financial issues.
• Expedites completion of projects.
• Resolves warranty issues.
• Develops project plans and maintains information on project status (possibly with support of a project assistant).
• Works with other project team members to ensure the total coordination of planning, manufacturing, and installation activities for the customer.
• Provides a point of contact for customer representatives regarding on-going project questions and issues. Identifies and resolves customer issues. Ensures proactive customer communications.
• Resolves field issues including punch list items.
• Resolves billing questions and assists with collections; ensures timely and accurate information is provided for billing purposes.
• Manages inventory for assigned accounts; prepares forecasts and status reports.
• May provide guidance and training for less experienced Project Managers.
• Performs other assignments as required.
• Complies with all rules, policies, and procedures of the Pattison Sign Group.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• AS or BS in business, engineering or a construction-related field, or equivalent work experience in construction-related project management or other people/asset management.
• 6-10 years professional work experience in managing people or assets (construction-related purchasing or project management preferred).
• Proficient in reading blueprints and comfortable with viewing AutoCAD.
• Should have strong aptitude for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality
Relative experience in lieu of degree will be considered
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Comfortable and capable of climbing ladders and being on building roofs performing surveys and as needed aiding in the installation process
• Knowledgeable of customer service and installation processes or have experience in the following: forecasts, quotes, orders, installation, and billing. •
• Strong knowledge and skills in field activities and installation management. •
• Requires exceptional interpersonal and project management skills. • Ability to learn new and varied assignments. •
• Ability to effectively handle non-routine subcontractor issues and communications. •
• Skilled in maintaining stable performance under pressure; able to work with intermittent to limited supervision. •
• Must have personal computer skills (preferably Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft project or similar packages).
• Business maturity/acumen, confidence, and a high degree of personal motivation and energy (pro-active).
