We are currently seeking to add multiple Contract Administrators / Project Managers to our team at multiple locations, including Waco, TX, Houston, TX and Louisiana.
Contract Administrator:
Educational / Experience Background: B.S. in related field (Construction Management, Design professional, drafting or technical degree) Field / Job experience is preferred, 10+ years in steel / construction industry. Backgrounds in fabrication, erection or similar are a plus.
Computer Skills: Must be competent with the computer. Must know how to use at the minimum, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, MS Word and Outlook primarily. Any experience in FabSuite, Bluebeam Computer Ease or similar a plus. Also needs to be familiar with Gantt type scheduling programs.
Job Specific Skills: Steel Estimating, plan reading, strong understanding of fabrication practices and the AISC Code of Standard Practice. Job requires strong Math and writing skills along with good verbal communication and listening skills. Ability to handle varied tasks to
Additional Desired Traits: Personable and capable of dealing with customers, adept at handling stressful situations, self-motivating and capable of finding ways to keep themselves busy. Organized and has a good attention to detail. Must have skills dealing with conflict resolution and can exhibit self-control in terse situations.
Job Specific Duties: The CA role encompasses both the estimating and project management process. Candidate would be responsible for estimating and managing structural / misc. steel projects for both the fabrication / erection scopes. Essential duties include.
Developing accurate estimates / budgets for projects through the bid / negotiating phase.Assist in contract review / negotiations. Understanding the scope / contract requirements and the intended deliverables.Establish sequencing / schedules / milestones - communicating such to company / client teams.Coordination of submittals / RFI's / PO's / Subcontracts / Purchasing for project specific needs.Update weekly reports / logs to monitor schedules and job costsReview / Price changes in work - negotiate with client.Develop / maintain / improve client relationships
