Position: Python Engineer
This person will work with the Personalized Indexing portfolio management team to design and build automations to improve the team's efficiency. Automate the collection of data needed for portfolio managers to make decisions. Determine when a local solution (e.g. scripts) is the right answer versus building a more robust enhancement into existing systems.
Duties and responsibilities would include full-stack software development for the Personalized Indexing portfolio managers. This contractor would work with the Oakland based portfolio management team to understand their workflow and develop applications which focus on time savings through automation, cost savings through optimization, and risk mitigation.
Must haves:* Investment systems knowledge (trading, securities, etc)* Ability to effectively communicate with portfolio managers, work closely with them to rapidly build solutions* Python* Knowledge of AWS services like lambdas, ECS and AWS infrastructure* GitHub
Preferred:* AWS certification
