Job Description
The
Respiratory Therapist RRT
reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
This role provides assessment/recommendations of pulmonary status in relationship to exercise prescription and education to pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation patients as well as staff.
This is a part time position, 24 hours a week.
Qualifications
Required:Understanding of medical technologyAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingAbility to treat patients with respiratory disease according to physician's orderAbility to use computerized chartingThe ability and knowledge to operate the telemetry monitoring systemMust be credentialed by the NBRC3-5 years experience working in respiratory care and/or pulmonary rehabilitationAbility to serve on committees when askedAbility to work under fast-paced conditions when census is highGraduate of an approved school or program for respiratory care, higher education preferredActive current RCP license with state of IllinoisBLS CERT
