Production Manager for Commercial Laundry

Is responsible for all production operations, employees, area managers, janitorial, and security. In absence of the Plant Manager, Chief Engineer, or General Manager may oversee drivers and engineers• Schedules work flow throughout the plant to ensure delivery windows are met• Supervises work activities for all departments• Monitors, tracks, and reports hours worked for all plant employees to ensure only the allocated time for their shift is utilized. Whenever any overtime is needed he/she must get preapproval by the Plant Manager or General Manager• Sets up the plant 30 minutes prior to startup and stays 30 - 60 minutes after his/her shift to assure everything was communicated to the next Shift Manager. Inspects the plant for cleanliness and then he/she submits the Shift Managers summary reports• Monitors and controls that the quality program is being properly enforced within each department• Coordinates movement of employees to best enable the plant to meet its daily demand• Provides coverage within a department whenever an Area Manager doesn't show up to work• Maintains a working knowledge of all equipment and reports any equipment breakdowns or suspected concerns immediately• Communicates and coordinates plant functions with the plant manager• Responsible for final lock-up and security of the plant• Insures subordinates practice safety procedures, regulations, and any other procedures that may pertain to the department worked in, at all times• Monitors productivity within each department to ensure daily demands are met• Assists with un-jamming machinery and contacts engineering when needed• Reports potential and existing safety problems and violations of company polices immediately to the Plant Manager or General Manager
