Description
RETTEW, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a dynamic and client-focused Civil Engineer to join our Municipal Team as a Drinking Water/Wastewater Project Manager.
As a Drinking Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will work with our Authority and Municipal clients to develop, design, and manage a variety of projects, including public and private sector wastewater collection and treatment systems, public and private sector drinking water distribution and treatment systems, membrane treatment of municipal and industrial water and wastewater, and biosolids and renewable energy development.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop, design, and manage a variety of projects related to drinking water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Plan and manage large multi-disciplined water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Lead teams in all aspects of project design with a focus on delivering a quality project on time and within budget
- Effectively present projects to clients and regulatory authorities
- Attend marketing events and functions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our Authority and Municipal clients.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Process Engineering, Biological Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or similar technical field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and management of drinking water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Strong technical background and proven experience leading and delivering projects
- Experience representing municipal and/or authority clients
- Experience and enjoyment in managing and mentoring staff and sub-consultants
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
