POSITION SUMMARY:
Work with the Manager of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and BuildingInformation Modeling (BIM) Systems to provide routine drafting and designsupport for Engineering and Architecture Department during the planning, design,and construction of various projects such as Airport terminal buildings andgates, commercial, offices, retails, airfields, roadways and utilities. Develops conceptual plans,engineering drawings, and exhibits for a variety of projects ranging in sizeand complexity.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor'sdegree in CAD, GIS, or related field and a minimum of eight (8) years of CAD workexperience for a consulting firm, a construction company, a public agency, oran airport authority involved with the design and construction of small andlarge scale projects, or an equivalent combination of related education,training, and work experience.Work requires utilizing knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal and Storybook, AutoCAD, surveying, engineering practices, construction standards and mathematics, as well as, knowledge of various public utility facilities (construction, maintenance) and materialsKnowledge of GIS and CAD, surveying, engineering practices, and mathematicsKnowledge of the terminology, methods, practices and techniques of computer draftingKnowledge of simple trigonometry, especially as applied to the making of routine survey computationsKnowledge of level and transit survey equipmentSkill in the use of a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Office, CAD, GIS and various other office equipmentAbility to make technical computationsAbility to interpret field notes and to apply them in complex oral and written instructionsGood interpersonal and communication skillsAnalytical approach to problem solvingAbility to perform spatial analysisMust be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operationsValid Florida driver's licenseCertification in CAD and GIS or a specialty subject area that may benefit the Aviation Authority is desirable**This position requires permanent residency in the United States.
