Business Development Leader.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Phoenix Defense Aerospace Manufacturing Division is a diversified global manufacturing company operating in two segments which consist of electronics assembly and high precision CNC machining parts. This critical role will include responsibility for all aspects of Aerospace Defense, and commercial OEM business development to include pipeline development, strategic capture, proposal development, and account strategy.The selected individual will have opportunities to lead efforts for identification, qualification, and capture of specific opportunities as well as the generation of qualified pipeline growth to support Phoenix Defense forecast and plan.In addition, this individual will recommend and implement BD and marketing strategies to achieve maximum customer and market penetration and to drive tactical and strategic growth.

Grow and qualify the opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent markets/customers, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter and intra-company collaboration. Support development of growth plans to ensure alignment with strategic goals of the Division. Lead in the identification, qualification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities. Complete ownership of the new business pipeline. Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers across a diverse portfolio, while maintaining existing client relationships. This may include identifying acquisition targets that complement existing Phoenix Defense capabilities. Identify Phoenix Defense value proposition for each pursuit, our messages to shape opportunities and deliver value, and milestones for achieving agreement on specific issues. Partner with program managers to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients. Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders. Collaborate with program management, engineering and production teams to ensure contracted product specifications are executed on-time and as agreed on initial awards. Transitions new business to internal program management staff. Work with Leadership to create capability roadmaps and capital investments necessary to create discriminators for new business. Become a subject matter expert on Phoenix Defense business products, processes and operations, and remain up to date on industry news. Be collaborative and team-oriented, while being comfortable acting as an individual contributor and as a team manager. ABOUT YOU:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field. Strong background in Military and/or Commercial Aerospace manufacturing experience. 10 - 15 years' experience in business development and/or program management. Demonstrated individual contributor capture & proposal development experience. Experience in developing and closing 12-18-month growth targets, conducting market research, and developing marketing materials is essential. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with potential clients and negotiate contracts that align with the company's strategic objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Good relationships and familiarity with Aerospace and US DoD markets. Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose manufacturing solutions for Military and OEM clients. Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 25% of the time. US Citizenship required. Ability to have and retain a US DoD Secret Clearance.
