About the Role
MWH is currently seeking a
Construction Project Manager
to support critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant projects for both municipal and industrial clients, near Providence, RI.
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the daily management and project operations of the Construction Management team on the multi-phase NBC project.
Essential FunctionsDaily leadership and management of the Construction Management team.Prepare project-related correspondence and communication to NBC and stakeholder parties.Manage daily staffing of CM team.Attend weekly coordination meetings with key members of CM team.Establish risk registers and updates for each project in coordination with the Resident Engineer.Monitor project construction costs and prepare related cost reports.Monitor project construction schedules.Monitor construction management operational budget and expenditures.Assist with preparing monthly project progress reports.Ensure that all members of the CM team are equipped with proper personal protective equipment (PPE).Review safety audit reports performed on design-builder's/contractor's activities.Utilize and update the Program Management Information System (PMIS).Provide support for resolution and processing of design-builder/contractor CORs.Provide technical support to Resident Engineers as requested.Provide support for resolution of claims.Arrange other support to the resident construction oversight staff, NBC and PM/CM as required (estimating, procurement, etc.).Participate in partnering sessions.Attend all project-related meetings.Attend public and community meetings as required.Periodic review and update of Construction Management Manual.Update Construction Management Staffing Plan.Review and approve monthly invoices.Company revenue forecasting.Direct supervisor to project site staff.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical or electrical), construction management, or equivalent degree.Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects, such as treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, tunnels, etc.8+ years of management experience, including client interface and solicitation, marketing and business development, planning and execution, project delivery, and staff supervision.CCM or PMP required, however consideration will be given to candidates willing to gain CCM or PMP within 12 months.Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), union jurisdiction, labor agreements, and negotiations.Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.Strong business acumen.Project P/L experience.Benefits
