Job Summary:
The Associate Data Analyst provides support for the State Reporting Shared Data Services team leader and Data Analysts. This support includes State Reporting functionality as well as local district(s) reporting, and data interface requirements for district specific needs. Provides assistance in training for local district(s) as well as written documentation to assist end users in maintaining data quality and integrity. The Associate Data Analyst also provides helpdesk support for all supported software applications. The Associate Data Analyst works in close collaboration with the Information Systems team, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be utilized on a daily basis.
Essential Duties (May include, but not limited to):
Provides support and problem resolution for all GenNet and GISD supported software applications.Provides support for Data Analysts in Shared Data Services.Estimates problem resolution times through detailed collaboration with other team members.Delivers a variety of application support within the local district(s) utilizing online,stand-up oral and visual presentation techniques.Creates and maintains comprehensive written documentation.Learns and maintains a current knowledge of State Reporting requirements.Creates or modifies processes and procedures to enhance data quality and integrity.Supports local district(s) needs, utilizing a customer service request management system.Comfortably engages with customers in a highly professional and helpful manner.Provides regular status updates/reports to supervisor.Provides timely resolution of data and reporting related issues.Consistently models Win-Win leadership.Other Duties:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum high school diploma/equivalent plus 60 hours of documented college or training courses required. Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration or related field preferred. Documented/demonstrated related work experience may be considered as part of the plus 60 hours.
Experience: Documented work experience in a data support role, preferably working with State Reporting activities. Experience providing daily customer service pertaining to student data reporting and student data applications preferred.
Skills/Other: Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and Internet Browsers. Must be familiar with database management, preferably with MS Access. Must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to offer multiple solutions to application and operational problems and challenges. Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including telephone communication. Ability to read and interpret complex user manuals to assist customers. Ability to deliver training to customers utilizing online, interactive television, and stand-up oral and visual presentation techniques. Ability to utilize district technology and work to maintain proficiency, as required skill sets change with technology and/or the needs of the district. Capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Works successfully as a member of a team. Ability to travel to and from the intermediate school district and the constituent school districts in the service area. Ability to work a flexible workday, work week, and work year. Punctuality and good attendance are requirements for the position. Represents the district in a professional manner at all times. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times. Must possess mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the essential duties of the position. Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions in accordance with board policies and established administrative guidelines.
