Senior BSA Officer

Summary

Provide support to the BSA AML Department through performance of tasks as directed by the Senior BSA AML Officer including, but not limited to, research and working BSA alerts, research and presentation of cases, monitoring of processes, validation and compilation of statistics for various reporting initiatives.

High School Diploma and minimum 3 years of banking experience. College degree/ experience in fields of business or criminology preferred.Prior experience in an BSA AML and OFAC regulatory requirements is preferred.General understanding of BSA AML, USA PATRIOT Act and regulatory requirements.Ability to work on multiple tasks, handle fast paced workflows and meet deadlines.Ability to understand and use Bank provided technology to meet job requirements.Ability to interact professionally with all levels of Bank staff, customer base and outside vendors.Primary Activities

Maintains a current, thorough understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, BSA AML industry best practices and developing trends.Adherence to BSA AML Department Policy, Program, procedures, laws and regulations.Investigates suspicious activity alerts and investigates cases.Proficient in data-collection, research and analysis of BSA AML issues.Can effectively present findings to the Senior BSA Officer, BSA Team and BSA Committee.Performs detailed investigation and analysis for high-risk customers.Above average ability to complete assigned tasks prior to the scheduled deadline.Perform other BSA AML duties as assigned.
