JOB SUMMARYThis is an entry-level technical position under the immediate supervision of the Assistant Manager of Field Operations, and under the general direction of the Director of Field Operations. This position provides the collection and verification of data from real property for ad valorem appraisal purposes. Work is reviewed by the training staff during the quality management process to evaluate production levels, accuracy and uniformity of work product.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSMeasures and draws improvements; records subjective and objective characteristics of improvements and other relevant data and notes in accordance with the Field Operations manual.Identifies improvements, measurements, structural elements, additions, alterations or demolitions to existing buildings in addition to special features/yard items.Utilizes aerial photography to assist in identifying and measuring property improvements as necessary.Photographs all improvements on parcels and creates/updates building sketches.Determines accurate measurements of improvements to residential properties, using electronic and tape measuring tools to measure improvements on site.Communicates with property owners in a polite and professional manner.Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK
High school diploma/GED; no experience required.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.Basic mathematics skills (e.g., add, subtract, multiply and divide).Mental alertness, self-motivation, attention to detail and surroundings; ability to adapt to various working conditions, both indoors and outdoors.Ability to communicate professionally and express ideas with respect and courtesy.Problem-solving skills in decision-making and communication, specifically when determining the source of a problem and arriving at an effective solutionValid Florida driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
