Custodian - 3rd shift (10pm - 6:30am)

The Custodian is responsible for cleaning all facility areas and works under the general supervision of the facilities engineer.
The Custodian is expected to:
· Keep facilities clean and hygienic
· Proactively replenish and stock products and supplies
· Picks up all disposable waste from offices, plant, cafeteria and washrooms.
· Follows established cleaning schedule unless directed otherwise
· Cleans washroom walls, sinks, bowls, urinals and floors.
· Vacuums all rugs and carpeting throughout facility.
· Replenishes all supplies when necessary.
· Cleans all glass, mirrors and windows.
· Proactively keeps facilities clean, stocked and hygienic
· Sweeps, cleans, mops and scrubs all floors using the proper and appropriate equipment
· Strips, waxes, and buffs all tiled floors as needed.
· Takes inventory of all cleaning supplies and prepare requisitions for needed supplies.
This position has no talent management responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school degree or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
· Previous custodian or related experience is strongly preferred.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.
The employee must regularly lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
While performing this Job, the employee is regularly required to exhibit strong manual and spatial dexterity.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and odors, dusts, mists, fumes and/or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to loud, based on the department/work area.
