Summary:
In this role, you will serve as the organization's Compliance Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer and manage all corporate compliance functions, including developing, implementing, and maintaining general, HIPAA, and financial services industry compliance programs. You will oversee an enterprise-wide risk management program, including identification, mitigation, and transfer of risk matters, and the Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs programs designed to monitor the quality and regulatory compliance of products offered through the Company's sourcing programs.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, audit/monitor, and enforce comprehensive written compliance policies and standards of conduct and related staff training/education for (i) general corporate compliance, (ii) HIPAA, and (iii) the company's regulated financial services businesses (i.e., registered investment advisor, registered commodity trading advisor and registered independent municipal finance advisor).Maintain a mechanism for the confidential reporting of potential compliance violations.Investigate potential compliance violations and recommend corrective actions, as appropriate.Report to the Governance, Nominating, and Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors.Evaluate the enterprise's risks and develop transfer options, including maintaining a commercial insurance program.Provide underwriting data, applications for coverage, and presentations to insurance brokers and underwriters for commercial insurance renewals.Ensure effective management of claims asserted against the enterprise.Advise senior management and the Board of Directors on compliance, QA/RA, and risk management matters.Maintain a QA/RA program to monitor the quality and regulatory compliance of products offered through the Company's sourcing programs, including (1) periodic desk and field audits of contracted suppliers and manufacturers, (2) approval of product labeling for the Company's Novaplus® private label brand, (3) assisting with the response to FDA recalls and other notices relating to contracted products, and (4) assisting with member complaints relating to contracted products.Qualifications:
Relevant Degree preferred10 or more years relevant experience required.Strong knowledge of HIPPA, Quality, and Regulatory compliance programs required.Experience in a healthcare compliance setting and the financial services industry ideal.Demonstrated experience with HIPAA Privacy Programs.Deep understanding of service management principles, client relations, and operational best practices.Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments at all levels of an organization (including executive management and the Board of Directors).Ability to solve critical issues in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.Willingness to travel
Estimated Hiring Range:At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $328,600.00.
