Lending Support Specialist
Consumer Lending Department
Position Summary
Provides administrative and clerical support to Lending and Member Services in support of the consumer loan process. Assures completeness of loan documentation from time of application, funding, recording, imaging and closing of loans. Provides efficient, professional, friendly, quality service plus and expertise to credit union members, coworkers, dealers and vendors.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview all loan applications and documentation received through all channels (direct, indirect, or any other method through which the Credit Union receives loan requests.)Verify all loan packages are complete and accurate prior to funding and imaging. Assist in DMV processing - ordering, releasing and transfer of titles. Prepare DMV paperwork including lien holds.Assist the indirect underwriting desk when necessary. Follow up with the appropriate dealership (via email, phone, fax and mail) for procurement of missing documentation on a regular basis.Ensure the completeness of all loan applications and documentation prior to completing the funding process. Establish memberships as needed.Process consumer real estate loan packages, review and verify loan documents. Prepare loan packages for funding, signing, and loan disbursement.Prepare and send out member loan documents, disclosures, and other correspondence, when necessary, in required timeframes.Cross-train and become proficient in Lending job functions and responsibilities to provide support when necessary and adhere to established department service level agreements with vendors, partners, and internal partners.Monitor Synapsys service events on a regular basis. Research and resolve inquiries from front line staff, Synapsys inquiries and queues, and outside inquiries. Answer incoming calls and emails to assist members and dealerships.Assist with the tracking of monthly loan volume, applications received, and loans funded.Performs other duties as assigned.Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to participate in Saturday rotation schedule as assignedHigh School or Equivalent Required.Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.Two years of experience in a lending environment, strongly preferred.Self-starter, able to work in a fast paced environment.Excellent communication skills in order to effectively partner with internal and external contacts.Must be extremely detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.Superior member service and problem resolution skills.Knowledge of Symitar and Synapsys systems a plus.Familiar with mortgage loan process/terminology.Working knowledge of Credit Union Direct Lending (CUDL).PC literacy in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, with proficiency in accurate typing and keyboarding (WPM 60+).Do you want to be valued as an employee?

The Lending Support Specialist position is a Grade 8.
Target Range: $29.40 to $36.75** The target range for entry in a new position is between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience and qualifications.
