The Opportunity
SANY America is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking, and highly motivated Motor Grader Program Lead. With the deep investment and backing of SANY Group, the Americas business expects to continue to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth is the appointment of a high-quality Product Manager who can create, enhance, and drive product development of new products. They will be responsible for the product lifecycle, working with sales, dealers, and customers to understand product and customer requirements, defining the product development plan, and working closely with the engineering team, to deliver winning products. In the product manager role, SANY is looking to recruit a passionate and customer-focused leader. The role will require someone to build strong relationships with product marketing and product support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are achieved. Also critical to the role, will be ensuring that the product development strategy and execution supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
The R&D Engineer for Motor Grader Machines at SANY America is responsible for the end-to-end management of engineering projects for the Motor Grader product line. This includes product application, design requirements, development, launch, marketing materials, and lifecycle management. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and customer-focused mindset to drive product success and meet market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute the program strategy for Motor Grader machines, aligning with overall business objectives.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and customer needs.Define product vision, roadmap, and specifications.Product Development:
Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure product development aligns with market requirements and timelines.Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation processes.Product Launch and Marketing:
Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches.Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to create promotional materials, training programs, and sales tools.Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical support to the sales team and customers.Customer Engagement:
Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and identify opportunities for product improvements (Voice of Customer).Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders (Voice of Business).Address customer inquiries, issues, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.Product Lifecycle Management:
Monitor product performance and market trends to ensure competitiveness and profitability.Provide pricing and profitability studies and create sales targets that support the marketing strategy.Implement product enhancements and updates based on customer feedback and market analysis.Manage product discontinuation and transition plans as needed.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with supply chain, finance, and operations teams to ensure product availability and cost management.Coordinate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all products meet industry standards and regulations.Collaborate with international teams to align global product strategies and initiatives.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the construction equipment or heavy machinery industry.Strong technical background with knowledge of Motor Grader machines and related construction equipment.Proven track record of successfully managing products from concept to launch.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.Desired Competencies:
