Job Description
Seeking an experienced
Title Examiner/Abstractor who is proficient in metes and bounds. Position can be remote, for the right candidate.
The
Title Examiner/Abstractor
will oversee the completion of all title work for clients in your assigned market. The Title Examiner will search public records and examine titles to determine legal condition of residential property.
Responsibilities:Perform title examination and analysis requiring a high level of title expertiseExamines chain of title for residential propertiesMUST be able to prepare a TENNESSEE AND MISSISSIPPI title commitmentExamine and analyze title records such as leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, business entity documents and plot and map booksInterpret complex legal documentsVerify detailed ownership reports and abstractsPerform survey reads on projects, prepare responses to objection letters, prepare pro forma policies and endorsementsPrepare and review reportsPrepare title commitments, update title commitments and make necessary revisionsMust be able to map metes and bounds with proficiencyJob Requirements:
Working knowledge of real property laws, examining and underwriting policies and procedures, title insurance policies, endorsements, services and pricingAbility to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive mannerAbility to operate in an environment with tight deadlines and strict standardsAbility to communicate effectively with clients, orally and in writingA minimum of 5+ years of Title Examination experience
