We are currently seeking a Subcontracts Coordinator/Technicianbased in Houston, Texas.
About the Job
This is an entry level position with our Subcontracts Department. You will leverage your Supply Chain Management degree while learning department policies and procedures to grow your career in subcontracts management. Initial assignments will be administrative and analytical support for the creation and maintenance of construction subcontracts.
Non-Project Assignments:Establish and maintain Subcontract files of documents in accordance with procedures.Establish and maintain Subcontract Filing Instructions, Files, and Interface with Central Filing.Good understanding of ORACLE applications required (OTJ training).Provide various analysis and reporting through the retrieval of subcontracts related expenditure data.Assists in the setup of new vendors, including pre-qualification coordination.Assists Subcontracts Managers / Administrators with subcontractor invoice issues.Enters Oracle PO Change Orders in support of Subcontracts Department.Assist with Oracle PO close out in support of Subcontracts Department.Project Assignments - Includes all of the Non-Project Assignment duties above, plus:
Prepare documents for publication as needed according to Subcontracts Procedures at the direction of a Subcontracts Administrator.Set up and maintain correspondence log for all memos, letters, and meeting minutes as directed.Format and publish reports as needed.Coordinate arrangements for internal, subcontractor, and in-house Subcontracts meetings for department needs.Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (required) with Supply Chain Management Major (preferred but not necessary) or equivalent industry experience.Excellent organizational skillsDemonstrates effective oral and written communication skillsGood interpersonal skills / demonstrated team spiritDemonstrates initiative and the ability to see tasks through to completionAbility to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and make or recommend sound decisions if neededSome purchasing knowledge preferred.Sensitivity to confidential matters.Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel with demonstrated ability to obtain and report on project expenditure data and publish error-free subcontract documents.Willingness to listen, learn and support from experienced Team Members.
