As a Senior Product Manager in the Modeling Lab, you will be at the forefront of developing and delivering cutting-edge technology and data into the hands of researchers. The Modeling Lab aims to transform drug development and therapy selection by building the world's largest library of patient-derived organoids, paired with DNA/RNA profiling and clinical outcomes. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who can help scale the Modeling Lab by launching innovative products, building systems and tools for scaling lab operations, and integrating our multimodal data with the broader Tempus ecosystem.
What You'll Do:Lead the vision, strategy, design, scope, and execution of new product initiatives within the Modeling LabOwn the Modeling Lab product portfolio, ensuring alignment with research and commercial goalsDevelop and implement tools, systems, and software solutions that enhance the functionality and scalability of biological modeling capabilitiesWork closely with cross-functional teams to integrate organoid data with Tempus' extensive real-world data library, providing comprehensive insights for drug discovery and developmentDrive the operationalization of solutions to grow and industrialize the Modeling Lab, ensuring high-quality and reproducible resultsCollaborate with scientists, engineers, technology, business and other multidisciplinary, matrix leaders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver impactful productsQualifications:
5+ years of technical experience in product management or in building software, preferably in the tech or biotech industryFamiliarity with oncology, biology, and / or the life science industryExceptional ability to build and drive product strategy cross-functionally, across teams whose roadmaps you manage directly and those you don'tAbility to manage several programs at once and work proactively to align multi-disciplinary stakeholders.Experience with software development and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.)Familiarity and/or ability to quickly ramp up on new concepts in the fields of genomics, oncology, precision medicine, AI, etcExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to act as translator among diverse teams of biologists, medical professionals, engineers, operators, and data scientists.Bias towards action; must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
