About the Role

The Senior Legal Secretary - Billing is an integral part of Latham's Attorney Support team. This role will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the billing process and performing complex billing duties, while creating, editing, and processing bills in accordance with firm and client requirements; reviewing proformas, handling subsequent corrections, and e-billing coordination. This role will be located in our Century City office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

Generating and reviewing proformas from 3E (informational and/or billing)Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules to complete the billing process and research and provide information to customersProactively seeking knowledge regarding the status of bills and consistently meeting agreed-upon deadlinesProfessionally communicating with customers to ensure the resolution of outstanding items and updating customers on the status of bills as neededAssisting with year-end closing and reporting as requiredProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe'd love to hear from you if you:

Exhibit excellent customer service skillsDisplay high attention to detail and strong organizational skillsPossess knowledge of 3E or EliteAnd have:

A high school diploma or an equivalent; with a Bachelor's degree, preferablyA minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a legal, accounting, finance, or an equivalent industryBenefits & Additional Information
