Role Overview
As the Global Head of Enterprise Change Management (ECM), you will join the team that is focused on overall enterprise change management for Northern Trust. This new team will design and execute the framework for all major change initiatives to optimize risk management, controls and financial rigor, while ensuring our people are equipped to manage, adopt and sustain essential change to successfully achieve our strategy.
Key Responsibilities will include:Ensuring a risk-based, consistent, and structured approach to managing change across the enterprise including governance, oversight, change delivery impact assessments and risk mitigation.Providing strategic thinking and focus to define and operationalize the ECM program, ensuring it is designed for effectiveness across the company while meeting risk management objectives.Providing governance and oversight of enterprise change management encompassing all framework components including program management standards as well as organizational change management strategies to ensure readiness and adoption.Performing quality assurance on risk assessments, change status reports, data integrity, and readiness assessments.Monitoring and reporting on aggregate portfolios of change, assessing the firm's ability to deliver change by reviewing changes in aggregate and considering interconnectivity and dependency between change drivers.Performing thematic analysis to provide insight into the enterprise change risk profile.Defining and maintaining centralized metrics to monitor and report on change to the internal Senior Management committees, the Board and regulators, providing visibility into emerging risks and advise stakeholders when change approaches or exceeds risk limits.Providing guidance and education to Program Owners and Delivery Teams on change risk management and mitigation. Enabling and centralizing enterprise change standards for value driven execution with risk guardrails in mind.Manage and monitor demand and capacity of resources; identifying resource gaps and requirements for deployment and readiness by ensuring resources are allocated effectively and the organizational is able to response to changes in demand.Desired Skills and Experience:
10+ years of demonstrated experience in program management (PM), organizational change management (OCM) and/or change program delivery experienceA delivery mindset with curiosity to learn, challenge, and enhance processesDemonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. Projects should include a focus on driving readiness and adoption through and with organizational change management.Knowledge of global financial institutions with complex organizational structures and regulatory requirementsKnowledge of full lifecycle delivery SDLC, Agile/ Scrum, Demand & capacity managementUnderstanding of risk management, risk-based governance, and practice managementAbility to translate a vision into strategic and tactical plans and execute resulting plans with little supervisionRequired Qualifications:
Educated to a bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience is required; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferredCertification in Program Management and/or Organizational Change Management from an accredited association is preferred
