As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in our success by responding to and closing leads in a B2B environment. Your expertise will shine as you work with potential clients, selling our transportation services for truckload, LTL, air freight, ocean import, and export services. We're particularly interested in candidates who bring 3PL Brokerage experience to the table and are well-versed in TMS and load boards.
Compensation:
We offer an hourly rate of $31.25/hr plus commission, so your hard work will be rewarded.
Responsibilities:
Develop new business and drive gross profits by promoting our full suite of logistics services through cold calling and email outreach.Follow up on leads generated by our marketing team, conventional leads, and direct client referrals. You'll keep track of your progress and results through Excel reports and CRM updates, ensuring accountability.Collaborate with subject matter experts when needed to move opportunities forward, whether it's in operations or management.Utilize your creativity to differentiate Approved Freight Forwarders from competitors when pitching our services.Take initiative and work independently to expand our customer base, meeting and exceeding sales targets.Research and analyze what potential customers are receiving from their current freight forwarder, positioning us to surpass the competition, win their business, and consistently exceed their expectations.Maintain customer records by updating Cargowise and CRM account information.Communicate effectively at all levels and collaborate with different departments to ensure customer needs are met.Approach potential customers with a consultative mindset, demonstrating excellent listening and presentation skills.Identify clients who align with our core values and values-driven approach.Perform other business development duties as assigned.Requirements:
Strong prioritization skills, enabling you to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple work duties.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A professional presentation style and a persuasive, energetic personality.A proactive sales mentality, positive attitude, and resilience.A sense of urgency to drive results.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
