Job Summary

The Senior Blockchain Data Engineer will lead a team focused on blockchain, database, and ETL development to support financial services industry partners. This role involves designing and implementing blockchain-based enterprise solutions, improving data quality, and developing data APIs. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana, as well as experience in cryptographic principles and financial services applications. This position is available in Boston, MA, Merrimack, NH, and Westlake, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team in blockchain, database, and ETL development, testing, and code deployment.

• Design and implement blockchain-based solutions, focusing on platforms like Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana.

• Analyze blockchain data and trends, ensuring accuracy and completeness through data quality checks.

• Collaborate with analysts and business partners to solve business problems with data-driven solutions.

• Develop and support data APIs for varied application requirements.

• Leverage AWS services, Snowflake, and Python for data engineering tasks.

• Stay current with blockchain protocols and cryptographic principles, integrating them into financial services solutions.

• Participate in innovation activities, code/design reviews, and exploration of emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• 7+ years of experience with relational database technology, data engineering, and ETL/ELT.

• 7+ years of professional experience with blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, etc.

• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and blockchain protocols.

• Experience with Linux shell scripts and job scheduling tools (Control-M/Autosys).

• Knowledge of data analysis and database design.

• Proficiency with AWS services, Snowflake, and Python.

• Experience developing data APIs.

• Knowledge of the financial and investing domains is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with smart contracts for Ethereum-based applications and token standards like ERC20, ERC721, ERC1400.

• Familiarity with blockchain implementations such as Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, Polygon, Solana, and Stellar.

• Experience working with data from blockchain vendors to generate insights and analytics.

• Experience with GitHub and Jenkins is desirable.

• Working experience in Agile teams with an understanding of Agile principles.
