OPPORTUNITY
Immediate opening for an experienced STAFF ACCOUNTANT in the Dallas corporate office of a growing private multi-family real estate investor/developer. This position will responsible for the accounting and preparation of financial reporting for a portfolio of multifamily real estate investment properties. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller and works closely with asset/property managers, lenders and other third-party accountants. Dallas area applicants only.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
The activities listed here are not all-inclusive; rather, they indicate the types of activities normally performed by this position. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:Prepare weekly cash transfers and monitor daily depositsAnalysis of monthly financial statements for a portfolio of multifamily properties prepared by 3rd party property management groups.Monitor and preparation of draw requests for banks/investors.Review and process internal renovation funding requests.Assist in preparing annual budgets for certain investment properties.Compile financial work-papers for audits/reviews/tax return preparation.Perform other special projects, historical research, financial analysis, and other duties as assigned.Work to ensure all reports/documents are provided to auditors on a timely basis.Possess and apply a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Requirements
