Job Description

The Manager in the Asset Management department works collaboratively with many constituents inside and outside the organization to identify and execute strategies to optimize the growing single-family rental home portfolio. This individual's primary responsibilities will include reviewing managing the dispositions workflow, overseeing the SFR disposition pipeline that encompasses a large volume of homes in varying stages to ensure all are tracked and decisioned to maximize value when sold, reporting on and tracking KPIs, managing the execution of hold/sell decisions, and working to execute the departmental needs of the Asset Management team. The Manager will also work closely with other members from the asset management team, the investment team, operations, development, and accounting/corporate finance teams. This position will work out of the Tustin, California office.

Work closely with asset managers to maximize the total return of the portfolio via the analysis of property fundamentals and identifying opportunities for improved performanceReview weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and identify opportunities to improve performanceOversee execution of SFR portfolio sales totaling 100+ homes per transaction with responsibilities to include buyer due diligence management, analyzing values and total returns, contract critical dates, coordinating property inspections, broker management, resident coordination, title and exception review, and escrow/title close out and prorationsCollaborate with the financing team and transaction coordinators to facilitate loan payoffs and work directly with external servicers that oversee Tricon's many debt facilitiesAnalyze portfolio performance to make hold/sell recommendations, including monitoring the pipeline of properties marked for sale/dispositionLead initiatives in a collaborative manner with other departments within the organizationRegularly review and analyze property valuations, rental rates, make ready scopes, and capex costsProduce, assist, review and analyze detailed financials on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis for each market/community including a comparison to budget and market indicesParticipate in the drafting and implementation of strategic business plans, including quarterly portfolio valuationsMay require approximately 10% travel to marketsIDEAL EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of commercial real estate, multi-family or single-family financial analysis, and/or asset management experienceBA/BS degree in finance, real estate, or related field with strong record of academic achievementAbility to analyze and make strategy decisions based on location, value, size, historical performance, future cash flows, and capex spend to determine valuations, rental rates, and right sizing of capex projectsUnderstanding of real estate valuation methods and analysis metrics used to measure success and identify risksExceptional analytical skills to identify data outliers that lead to process improvementAdvanced knowledge of MS Windows, Excel, and Word, Yardi experience a plusMust possess the ability to work well within a team environmentMust be highly organized, able to prioritize multiple concurrent projects and be able to independently identify and solve key business problemsComfortable creating financial analyses and PowerPoint presentations to support findings and recommendationsDemonstrate and support the organization's ethics and values and foster teamworkExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAbility to work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.$105,330.00 - $175,550.00
