Position Summary

Reporting to the VP of Sports and working closely with the wider Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) business, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a legal background to support our various contract needs at our dynamic youth sports and entertainment complex. The ideal candidate will specialize in contract creation, negotiations and dispute resolution, while also providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The goal is to sustain efficiency and companywide consistency across all commercial contracts, with a particular focus on our Facility Use Agreements (FUAs) and related procedures, all while ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.

Primary ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with our Sports Directors to draft, prepare, and review Facility Use Agreements (FUAs) and related legal contracts outlining terms and conditions for facility use.Ensure FUAs cover all necessary terms, including rental conditions, costs, payment terms, cancellation provisions, access duration, liability, indemnification, and risk management.Serve as a liaison between AAG sport directors, external tournament directors, club directors, event coordinators, and organizers.Review all other contracts including but not limited to: Sponsorship agreements, purchase agreements, leases, deeds, and transaction documents for compliance and accuracy.Conduct due diligence by reviewing documents and analyzing permitted use restrictions.Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case law as needed.Generate reports and summaries related to contract status, timelines, and issues for review.Oversee the contract execution process, utilizing DocuSign.Maintain a comprehensive record of executed agreements and ensure documents are organized and accessible.Prepare executive summaries, reports, and draft new policies based on analysis.Monitor progress on contracts (both pre- and post-execution) and proactively follow up with internal departments.Analyze details of licenses for property use for specific events or purposes.Assist in developing, reviewing, revising, and implementing new policies, programs, processes, and procedures as needed.Assist in additional duties and events as needed.Experience and Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.Minimum 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a facility, entertainment or sports legal department, with a focus on facility use agreements and contracts.Strong familiarity with legal contracts, lease agreements and related arrangements.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and vendors.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience with facility rental and scheduling software programs is a plus.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.Physical Requirements

Must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels and busy environments.General office setting requirements.
